The police were searching for the parent(s) or guardian(s) of the girl who was found near the intersection of Swatara Street and South River Alley in the Borough that morning.
They believed she is possibly mixed race. The police also noted that her shirt read "Bestie," she had one hoop earring in her left ear, and was wearing blue hair ties.
With the public's help the girl's family was located just before noon, according to the police. "We would like to thank the public for their assistance," Steelton Borough Police said.
